Historic Walk – Fundraising Event Two

For my second event, I hosted a historic guided walk around my home town, Durham, on the 27th December. The town is full of history which meant it was a perfect event that would make a decent amount of profit. My parents and I spent several days reading through book after book of about the City of Durham but eventually we were able to create a 2.5 mile walk around the city centre and its surrounding area. The walk lasted roughly three hours and afterwards everyone returned to my house for homemade bread, soup and mulled wine. 30 people came on the walk and I charged £5 per person and including extra donations I made £155! The walk took a lot of preparation but with effort and determination it is possible. Also, this event can be repeated as different people can come each time.
